Machines are the wave of the future. Bionic arms, legs, motorized fingers, eyes … things we used to think about as science fiction. Machines – “robots” – or whatever you would like to call them will increasingly serve to alleviate the pain of humans as modern medicine advances. See the following video from CNN:
Finally, remember that drugs (specifically opiates) are not a long-term solution to pain.
